New movie captures Jamie Mitchell’s ‘Decade of Dominance’ in Molokai-2-Oahu Paddleboard World Championship

In August of 2011, Australian Jamie Mitchell completed his decade of dominance by breaking his own world record at the 15th annual Molokai-2-Oahu Paddleboard World Championship.

Mitchell paddled across 32 miles of the Kaiwi Channel in a time of 4 hours, 40 minutes, breaking his own 2007 record by eight minutes.

It is unlikely that the record will be broken anytime soon. It is even more unlikely that anyone will win the race — considered the world championship of paddleboarding — 10 years in a row.

Since Mitchell announced his retirement from the grueling competition, he now spends his days charging massive waves, winning the world’s biggest SUP races, or jet-setting around the
 world to explore new oceans.

To honor this awe-inspiring achievement, Mitchell is about to release a
new movie called “Decade of Dominance” that follows his journey
toward a 10th straight world title.

The limited edition DVD goes on sale in one week, but for the next
couple of days you can catch a special 10-minute preview clip at If you’re quick, you might even be
able to pick up a unique, signed copy from the champ himself.

Apart from plenty of awesome ocean footage, “Decade of Dominance” also
features the likes of Gerry Lopez, Kelly Slater, Rob Machado and Dave
Kalama. It’s an inspiring story and if you love the ocean, you’ll love
 this movie.
