The Molokai News announces its launch


For Immediate Release: January 6, 2010


Announcing the launch of a new website designed to keep you informed about
Molokai. New stories about Molokai are posted five times a week, Monday –
Friday, at

The stories are generally rewritten versions of the local news broadcasts
heard on KMKK Radio every weekday morning on 102.3 FM, Molokai’s only radio
station. The stories online often have more detail and include related

The Molokai News is a completely independent news service that is not
sponsored by any company or group and is not beholden to any special
interest. It is intended to be a service produced by and for the community
of Molokai. The Molokai News operates independently of KMKK-FM Radio and its
corporate ownership at KAOI Radio.

Eventually The Molokai News will give readers the ability to upload their
own stories, photos, videos and community announcements. It will also
include a community calendar of events around Molokai as well as a
classified advertising section. Right now the site is hosted as a WordPress

    the Web so I can pick-up KMKK 102.3 in San Diego,
    CA. Need that Hawaiian Beat here. Hope, since other
    stations Stream there music here, but not Hawaiian.
